West Tech Shipping is looking for a versatile Software Developer to join our growing team! You’ll work across the tech stack, building and maintaining systems that power our web and mobile platforms. With technologies like PHP, React Native, JavaScript, MySQL, and AWS, you’ll help create reliable, scalable, and user-friendly solutions to support our logistics operations.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Writing and maintaining efficient, scalable, and maintainable code across the stack.
• Building and managing APIs to support React Native mobile applications.
• Developing and enhancing database systems using MySQL.
• Customizing WordPress plugins and themes to improve functionality.
• Working with AWS for cloud services, deployments, and scaling solutions.
• Debugging and resolving issues across the stack to ensure smooth operations.
• Collaborating with a team to create innovative solutions.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong software engineering skills preferably in PHP, React Native, JavaScript, and MySQL.
• Experience with WordPress development (plugins, themes, customizations).
• Knowledge of AWS and cloud services.
• 2–3 years of experience in software development across the stack.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is nice to have, but experience and skills are what matter most.
• Familiarity with logistics, e-commerce, or similar industries is a plus.
• Experience designing and optimizing database systems.
• Familiarity with tools and workflows for effective remote collaboration.
