CARGO ASSISTANT/CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

This is a dual role for one exceptional individual.

The Cargo Assistant/Customer Service Representative is responsible for providing and verifying invoices in a timely manner to the brokerage team, to facilitate timely processing of all cargo. The ideal candidate will also be committed to providing outstanding service to every customer, This will be achieved by efficiently and politely processing customer orders, modifications, inquiries, payments and concerns, with the aim of 100% satisfaction.

JOB DUTIES

  • Ensure a high level of customer service is provided to all internal and external customers at all times, to deliver 100% satisfaction.
  • Answer questions from customers about our services and products (e.g., billing, account opening process, auctioned products and customer service policies).
  • Responsible for collecting and systematically sorting and packing cargo in-store, in accordance with established procedures.
  • Accurately and expediently collect and process all payments received for products and services from customers.
  • Ensure that all cargo is handled in a safe and professional manner.
  • Perform inventory counts as needed.
  • Work closely with the Customer Service team providing continuous updates on cargo operations and any issues which may potentially impact customers.
  • Ensure the company's vehicle is driven safely at all times, within the stipulated laws of the country.
  • Follow company communication procedures, guidelines, and policies.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • At least 1 year proven customer service experience.
  • Experience in handling cash transactions in a business environment is preferred.
  • Outgoing and friendly personality.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Adaptable, with the ability to relate to a diverse group of customers.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to remain calm, professional and focused in challenging situations/under pressure.
  • Flexible with the ability to work shift hours that can include nights, evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Driver's license for vehicle up to 10 tons.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and control time effectively.
  • Disciplined and committed worker.
  • Minimum of 5 CXC/CSEC passes, including Mathematics and English.
